Does anyone else use these? Any opinions?

My Little Man is About to Start Praying Officially

My son will be 7 inshallah on the first day of Shabaan. And he is ready. This is exciting! I think I will bake him a cake. Maybe with a picture of a prayer rug on it. The word could say, "Congratulations! You are officially a kid now!" I don't know. I think I'll have to come up with something better.
Anyway, I want to make a big deal out of it so he is excited too.

I found these cool cakes online

Yes, inshallah, we will be using SF Science 2nd grade.

So yes we will be using the science publisher we used this year, again next year.

Science Curriculum Choice

I am almost certain we will use Scott Foresman curriculum again for science. Everything is laid out for you as the teacher, I found basically all the goodies and texts online free and we are familiar with the format.
He can do it fairly independently, despite being a public school text book. He really like to do the Before You Read page prior to each lesson, which is a true/false questionnaire that helps him start to think about the subject at hand.
Apparently the math a few years ago wasn't very good but I haven't looked at their math yet.

I don't know how to directly post files to the page so when I find the links I mentioned I'll post them In the mean time if you have a bit of free time you can find the curriculum online free. Try searching for Georgia and Scott Foresman.

OK I Have Made A Decision

So it has taken 3 weeks but I have come to a decision, we will use the Madinah Arabic program. I will use Madian Arabic Reader book 1 I have yet to find the second book free online but even purchasing it is relatively cheep. Supplementing with Iqrah Arabic Reader for conversation and writing....I think.

Arabic Curriculum Choices Update

OK well I got off topic in my searches but end up pursuing the Madinah Arabic Reader book 1, aka Madinah Arabic books for kids. It took a while but I finally found it online in PDF format free. I seems to be coming down to the previously mentioned one and Arabic Without Tears.

Funny banner I found, lol

Arabic Curriculum or LOOK what I found!

Key to Arabic is for absolute beginners, by the same author as Gate Way to Arabic. I figure that we are just a half step above absolute beginner so this could be the one.  They also have Arabic with out tears. I suppose it was inspired by Handwriting with out tears. Anyway that one is geared at kids. If it doesn't require my knowledge to be greater than it already is this could be a good choice too, that way i can learn along with my little man.
BTW Key to Arabic has audio too 1 and 2. They are rar files.
O and check out all the other resources at kalamullah

So which is the best for us?
